West Dermatology recently welcomed Dr. Michael Mortazie as the newest member of their expert staff. Focusing on medical dermatology, Dr. Mortazie did his dermatology residency at Michigan State University/St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, MI, after graduating from Emory University with a B.S. in biology. He is certified by the American Board of Dermatology.
“I’m pleased to join West Dermatology and be part of a dermatology practice that is focused on top-notch patient care,” says Dr. Mortazie. “I chose dermatology because the skin is a wonderful and often mysterious organ that needs continuous care and attention. Dr. Mortazie’s specialty is skin cancer and Mohs micrographic surgery for treatment of the cancer. In fact, he underwent fellowship training in Mohs surgery and dermatologic oncology at the world-renowned Bennett Surgery Center of Santa Monica, CA. He is also active on the American Academy of Dermatology’s Learning Resource Committee, which helps keep practicing dermatologists updated on the latest advances in the world of dermatology.
