Utah High School State Record Holder Signs With Razorbacks

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Five-time Utah state champion Hunter Woodhall has signed on to join the nationally ranked Arkansas men’s track and field team for the 2017-18 academic year.

Woodhall is the top quarter-miler in his home state and ranks as one of the top-four fastest preps in the nation with his personal best of 46.56, which he posted a few weeks ago at the Davis Invitational in Kaysville, Utah.

“We are very excited that Hunter [Woodhall] has chosen to join us as a Razorback,” head coach Chris Bucknam said. “In watching him compete we can see that his passion and enthusiasm will be contagious. He’s a very talented and highly motivated young man, that gravitates towards excellence in everything he does. With his commitment to excellence both on and off the track he is going to thrive here as an Arkansas Razorback.”

In addition to his success at the state and national level, Woodhall has also excelled on the international stage, representing Team USA at the 2015 International Paralympic Committee Athletics World Championships and most recently the 2016 Rio Paralympic Games.

Before joining the Hogs in Fayetteville, Woodhall will look to defend his 400-meter state crown this weekend at the 2017 Utah Track and Field State Championships in Provo, Utah.
