We’re down to eight celebrities and the semi-finals of Celebrity MasterChef – and it’s getting hot in the kitchen with two eliminated tonight.
The unfortunate contestants were Brian Bovell and Henri Leconte, who couldn’t quite take the heat anymore.
Tonight’s show saw the eight remaining celebs heading to Poole to cook and serve lunch for 120 Royal National Lifeboat Institution volunteers.
They were split into two groups: the Reds were radio presenter Dev Griffin, Rev Kate Bottley of Gogglebox fame, Olympic gold medal winner Rebecca Adlington and actor Brian; and the Blues were former tennis professional Henri, TV presenters Ulrika Jonsson and Angellica Bell and opera singer Lesley Garrett.

The teams got off to a mixed start with the Reds hitting the ground running as Becky took charge; the Blues dithered a bit – taking an age to decide what they would cook and who should lead the team, with Lesley eventually naming herself as Head Chef.
Reds leader Becky managed to keep her team on track and was ably helped by “We’re not bossy – we’re natural leaders” Kate:
The Blues were still slow and left preparing the fish course too late, as well as leaving pudding to the last minute.
Gregg Wallace spoke for all 120 RNLI volunteers to be fed when he said: “If I’ve come all this way, I WANT A PUDDING!”
Unsurprisingly, the Red team were the first to have food on the table, but had to wait for the Blues before they could serve up.
And Lesley even forgot her stuffing and had to serve it up after most of her patrons had polished off their lunches.
A knackering day for all:
So it was back to London for the second part – billed as an invention test, with the celebrities asked to create a pudding from a table of ingredients they were presented with.
