Things to do at the OC Fair Friday, Aug. 11 – Orange County Register

Headed to the fair Friday? Here are a few things to do.


Listen to Californian band, Rebelution, as they perform a number of songs with reggae and calypso rhythms. Special guests include Nahko and Medicine for the People, Hirie and DJ Mackle. Show begins at 6 p.m.

How much: Tickets start at $27.50 and include admission to the fair.

Pink Floyd Laser Spectacular

After 30+ years of touring, Paramount’s Laser Spectacular has become a cult classic, presenting the music of Pink Floyd like you’ve never seen it before. Driven by cutting-edge effects, full-color lasers, high-definition video projection and concert quality sound, the audience’s senses are confronted with an array of visual displays, choreographed to the soundtrack of the show. Show starts at 8:30 p.m.

How much: Tickets start at $15 and include free admission to the fair.

Damsels of Destruction Demolition Derby 

The Damsels of Destruction, an all-female demolition, will entertain audiences with smashing and crashing stock-car racing. The goal is simple — to be the last woman standing with the last car running. Show begins 8 p.m.

How much: Tickets start at $17.50 and includes free admission to the fair.

Where: Action Sports Arena

All-Alaskan Racing Pigs 

Eight little pigs, with all the bravado of NASCAR, will squeal around the track and leap over hurdles as they race to the finish line. Showtimes are every hour from 2-9 p.m.

Where: Livestock

How much: Included with fair admission.

Alice Wallace

Wallace’s powerful, elastic singing and melodic, literate song-crafting skill have helped her garner nominations as best country/Americana artist. Show begins at 8 p.m.

How much: Included with fair admission.
