The Social Shake-Up Show (May 22 – 24), the leading social media marketing conference in the U.S., today announced that comedian and actress Cecily Strong has joined the speaker roster. During the sold out conference, Strong will be joined onstage by Rob Gregory, president of content and influencer marketing company WhoSay to discuss how social media conversations have influenced her character choices, impacted her performances and helped build her audience.
“We’re excited to have Cecily join us at Social Shake-Up to share how social media affects everyone’s careers, not just those in PR or marketing,” said Diane Schwartz, The Social Shake-Up Show’s chairwoman and senior vice president. “She will provide attendees with big picture ‘a-ha’ moments that they can use to develop more holistic and authentic social media campaigns than ever before.”
Currently in her sixth season on “SNL,” Strong has earned high praise for her Weekend Update character “The Girl You Wish You Hadn’t Started a Conversation With at a Party,” as well as recurring sketches including “Girlfriends Talk Show.” Strong has also played Melania Trump in sketches including a spoof of Beyoncé’s music video “Lemonade.”
In addition to Strong, the over 500 attendees will also have the opportunity to rub elbows with influencers including Shaun “Shonduras” McBride, as well as marketers and communicators running social media at brands like Coca-Cola, Arby’s, Google and more. All will share their expertise on the ins and outs of live streaming, SEO, storytelling, getting social media buy-in, influencers and social ads on platforms like Snapchat, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
