The Glen Eira Sports and Aquatic Centre (GESAC) is a wonderful place that offers great entertainment experience to people who love water sports. It is one of the best aquatic sports centres in Australia. This water sports facility is designed to suit the needs of people of all age groups. It has two pools- one indoor (25 metre) and other outdoor (50 metre). Both have eight lap lanes. Let’s have a look at the facilities and programs offered by GESAC:

Little Buccaneers

This program is designed for children of age group 6 months to 36 months. The objective of this program is to familiarise infants with water environment. Good thing about this program is that a parent is allowed to accompany the child in water. The program is conducted by experts who are experienced in handling children of different nature.

Learn-to-Swim

This program is for children more than three years of age. Teachers conducting this course are very caring and tender. Candidates are allowed to learn swimming techniques at their own pace. They are familiarised with water environment. When a child feels confident in water, he or she is introduced to stroke development. Teachers also impart safety skills into the candidates. Progress of candidates is measured from time to time. Children are rewarded for mastering new strokes. Teachers do not put any pressure on the candidates. This makes the module more entertaining.

Squad program

This course is for children who are mastered the Learn-to-Swim stage. Competitive and advanced strokes are taught in this module. Candidates work on techniques under the guidance of expert coaches for improving speed and stamina. Candidates are taught special techniques for swifter turn, dive and finishes.

Glen Eira Academy of Swimming
