When tragedy strikes, it’s crucial that a community can come together and help one another, and right now Brock and his family are in dire need of help from all of us

The Fullman & Lawrence Agency, a privately managed firm that provides families and entrepreneurs in east Texas with asset protection and financial consultation services, is launching a grassroots charity event to raise community support for Brock Gumm, a local boy fighting a rare and difficult form of bone cancer.
In October of 2014 Brock was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma, an aggressive and sporadic cancer that generally affects children and young people. Osteosarcoma represents only 3% of all current pediatric cancer cases, which means funding for research into treatments and cures is scarce. Brock and his family are now considering an experimental immunotherapy treatment called Mifamurtide, but the family will need aid because the treatment is not covered by insurance.
“When tragedy strikes, it’s crucial that a community can come together and help one another, and right now Brock and his family are in dire need of help from all of us,” says Linda Fullman, owner and agency principal of the Fullman & Lawrence Agency.
Fullman and her team are connecting with regional health care practitioners, cancer survivors, families, and friends over social media and email channels in an effort to share Brock’s story and rally supporters for his cause. Additional efforts to generate community support will include the release of a full page article on Brock and his family in a soon to be released issue of the Fullman & Lawrence Agency’s online magazine “Our Hometown”: http://fullmanlawrence.com/magazines/.
