The fifth annual Run 4 Kids Challenge will bring you a fun opportunity to walk or run with your family for a cause.
On June 3, Run 4 Kids invites everyone in the community to join them on the fight against pediatric cancer at Freedom Park in Sykesville.
Bob Sommerville, one of the coordinators of this event, stated in an email interview that people will be able to run and walk throughout the event and afterward there will be an awards ceremony.
“The purpose is to raise money to fight pediatric cancer. A secondary purpose is to try to get the kids involved in a positive activity to benefit themselves while helping others,” stated Sommerville.
For Sommerville, it is important that people attend to support and help the children in our community.
All of the participants will have a t-shirt, they will have ribbons to walk finishers, and all elementary and middle school finishers will receive medals. There will be a male and a female winner, eight divisions in 10k and nine divisions in 4k.
Also, they will have raffles and the opportunity of winning a deluxe luxury resort vacation.
All proceeds will benefit the fight against Pediatric Cancer. Both 4k Run and Walk and 10k Run begin at 8:20 a.m.
Please register today online at www.running4kids.net or by mail. Prime registration is $20 with discount code and for post-prime $25, no discounts apply. For more information about admission, please visit the website.
