NO. 1: NFL WEEK 15
RAMS at SEAHAWKS
Details/TV: At CenturyLink Field in Seattle, Sunday, 1:05 p.m., Ch. 11
Back in Week 5, the Seahawks’ “Legion of Boom” came crashing down on L.A. at the Coliseum, planting a 16-10 win highlighted by veteran safety Earl Thomas.
He stripped the ball from the Rams’ Todd Gurley at the goal line to kill a Rams’ opening scoring drive and he picked up a Jared Goff pass at midfield with six minutes left to seal the deal. Blair Walsh’s two second-half field goals was the difference as the Rams were scoreless in the second half – including a rare field-goal miss of 36 yards by Greg Zuerlein. The Rams, with five turnovers in the game, went on from there to win four in a row and six out of seven. Goff threw for 228 yards and two TDs, but couldn’t complete half his passes — 22 of 47. Tyler Higbee caught four passes for 98 yards. Russell Wilson was an efficient 24 of 37 for 198 yards and a TD.
