Newsletters address changes in reader needs | Opinion

We’ve been investing more time and energy into email newsletters this year and I’m pleased to tell you we’ll be launching two more next week.

On Tuesday, we will introduce:

1) A morning email that includes an image of the front page and headlines for key local stories in that day’s Register-Guard. This email connects directly to our e-edition, the digital replica of the daily printed newspaper that’s available 24-7 around the world. 2) RG Afternoon Update, which will be sent at 4 p.m. weekdays. This newsletter will highlight the stories posted on between 6 a.m. and 4 p.m. that day. In this increasingly 24-7 business, we post a lot of local content on during the day, and think you’ll enjoy getting a rundown of our latest news before evening arrives. RG Afternoon Update will replace our morning Daily Digest newsletter.
