“I love using my stainless-steel tumbler for everything from pool parties and hunting trips to the daily commute,” said an inventor from Centreville, Md. “What I don’t like is how hot and/or cold the exterior becomes when used out of doors. Mine has become almost blistering hot after sitting in the hot sun for a short period of time. The polished surface makes getting a good grip difficult while driving and has led to spills. That same polished steel surface doesn’t fit in well with all of the camouflage at hunt camp either! This style of tumbler has become so popular that sitting one down at a party without marking it can cause a lot of confusion and possibly a lost tumbler or drinking someone else’s beverage. I designed this sleeve to alleviate all of those problems and to allow me to customize my tumbler for the occasion/event without having to purchase multiple tumblers.”
He developed the SkinZ to serve as a beverage sleeve for stainless-steel tumblers and other types of drinkware. The sleeve prevents the skin from coming into contact with hot or cold surfaces, which enhances comfort while drinking a hot or cold beverage. It also provides a better gripping surface. The sleeve can be used to customize the drinkware. Additionally, it adjusts to fit drinkware of different sizes.
