Hold up on the s’mores: Fires limited to overnight – New Brunswick

People hoping to have a Victoria Day camp fire will have to hold off until the evening. The provincial government has issued restrictions on burning across the province for Monday evening.

People will only be allowed to have fires between the hours of 8 p.m. on Monday until 8 a.m. on Tuesday.

The advisory was issued by the Forest Fire Management Branch of the Department of Natural Resources. Grass fires also aren’t allowed.

If someone does want to have a grass fire, they must have a permit, written burn plans and pre-inspection by a forest service officer.
