Bates Insurance Agency Works to Empower the Friends of the Atascocita Library During Houston Area Charity Event

We can all have a positive impact and help others open gateways to a brighter future

Bates Insurance Agency, a regional firm that offers asset protection assistance and financial consultation services to business owners and families in the greater Houston metropolitan region, is working with the Friends of the Atascocita Library organization during a summer long charity drive to improve community literacy.

The Friends of the Atascocita Library (FOAL) raises roughly $20,000 in donations per year to help fund volunteer grants, used book sales, and positive literacy programs not normally funded by local municipal agencies. Many of the programs promoted by FOAL are utilized by a broad range of children, teens, and adults in the Houston community, and the organization is currently helping the library with an expansion project.

“We can all have a positive impact and help others open gateways to a brighter future,” says Tim Bates, director of the Bates Insurance Agency and longtime supporter of FOAL.

To help raise awareness of the charity event and galvanize support from Houston residents to help assist FOAL with their ongoing efforts, Bates and his team are sharing information with nearby families, friends, and associates over email and social media channels.
